Prima che tutto fosse confuso, esisteva solo il corpo nella sua forma più fragile. Durante la residenza curata da J. Benassi, dieci di noi si sono ritrovati a dormire in una stanza, condividendo un unico grande materasso assemblato. Un unico grande lenzuolo lo ricopriva: ogni mattina, prima che tutti si svegliassero, tracciavo le loro sagome catturando quel momento di quiete e intimità. Dieci persone, dieci sagome, per cinque mattine. Tanti strati formati dai corpi durante la condivisione di uno spazio ristretto. Ci sono scelte precise, contatti, spazi vuoti.

Before everything was confused only the body existed in its most fra gile form. During the residency curated by J. Benassi, ten of us found ourselves sleeping in one room, sharing one large assembled mattress. A single large sheet covered it: over it, every morning, before they all woke up, I traced their silhouettes capturing that one moment of stil lness and intimacy. Ten people, ten silhouettes, for five mornings. So many layers formed by the bodies during the sharing of a confined spa ce. There are precise choices, contacts, empty spaces.
